HistorySebright is located in the northwest corner of the Kawartha Lakes and residents of Sebright can enjoy one of the most spectacular water falls in the Kawartha Lakes, Victoria Falls. Sebright was a bigger community years ago, but it's slowly becoming smaller as the population has been dwindling. Sebright also has historically been a big farming community. During the first half of the 1900's, most of the population relied on farming for employment. Other residents took on livelihoods such as blacksmithing. Bessie Doyle was the clerk of the Dalton township and the office of the township was located in her house. Until recently, Sebright used the Sebright telephone exchange with Ramara township.
